Grand Harbor Members are constantly presented with opportunities for a little friendly competition. Each year, the PGA Director of Golf, Joe Kern, and his staff run over 125 organized league days and tournaments. Every event is professionally run, with enhancements such as state-of-the-art electronic scoring and leaderboards.

Guests are treated to an unforgettable experience when invited to play in a tournament at Grand Harbor Golf Club. Whether coming for a Guest Day or the famous Men’s Invitational, which boasts 72 teams each year, they will encounter incredible tee gifts, immaculately maintained golf courses, rousing parties, dazzling entertainment and exquisite dining.

Whether you play 18 holes or 9, Wednesday Men’s Golf Days offer all gentleman golfers an opportunity to mix with other members in a friendly, competitive team atmosphere. Members sign up individually and the professional staff pairs the teams and prepares the event for the week, ensuring fair competition. Most importantly for new members, since the staff varies the pairings, every week you get a chance to meet fellow members and develop new friendships. Besides the weekly competition, throughout the year the Men’s 18-hole league also runs a FedEx-style Points Championship. At the end of the season, the top 32 men with the most participation points compete for the championship.

Meeting on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, respectively, the Ladies’ 18 and 9-hole leagues enjoy a variety of team and individual formats in a friendly, competitive atmosphere. Once again, friendly is the keyword for ladies golf at Grand Harbor. As with all our golf leagues, each week the professional staff puts together the teams and organizes the game. New members get to play with a different group of ladies each week, ensuring new friendships are made quickly once becoming a member. The 18-hole Ladies’ league also runs a season long FedEx Cup-style Points Championship.

All Ladies’ and Men’s days are weekly events from the second week of October through the second week of April. All weekly competitions are professionally run and include shotgun starts, pre-printed cart signs and scorecards, automatic posting of scores to the GHIN handicap system, buffet lunches, prizes and state-of-the-art electronic scoring.

Each season, Grand Harbor men compete in the Florida State Golf Association Interclub series. Regional play starts with four local Vero Beach clubs competing in a home series with the winning club advancing. Grand Harbor has won the Vero Beach region and advanced the past two years.

Each year, the Ladies’ at Grand Harbor field two teams for Interclub competitions. The Vero Area Match Play is a competition between, and exclusively open to, private country clubs in Vero Beach. Conceived and started by the ladies of Grand Harbor, this team won the inaugural competition in 2012. Bi-County, the other ladies’ interclub event, boasts clubs from the surrounding Treasure Coast communities.
